LP prep, what should be backed up?

Should things on memory be backed up, ie photos, music, etc., to a hard drive before doing the LP upgrade? Will any of this info be lost from doing the upgrade. I realize a FDR will wipe everything, I'm talking just the upgrade here. Thx
 
You should always have a backup of images and data that is important to you irrespective of the upgrade.

You should not loose data or sere tings by doing the 5.1 upgrade.

It is recommended that you do a Wipe Cache Partition after doing the upgrade deleting all temporary data and not touching permanent data or wettings..
