Keep track of it here kids.

If you notice you have 4g (and or 3g) in areas you previously didn't let us know. We are approaching the day when this should becoming more and more obvious. More people outside of Florida are starting to see capped 3g and or 4g.

Just to brush up those who don't know, Metro planned to have a 4g overlay of it's entire 1x network by around this time this year.

Keep an eye out and post what you find here.

ill keep ya updated but the 4g overlay of all 1x network was not even close to be finished by around this time.

Miami has had increased 3g expodential to the time frame.
Three months ago I could get 3g in 1 spot on my huawei ascend and now I get spotty capped 3g in most of miami, ft Lauderdale and the keys.

I havent lost 4g once or reverted to 1x or 3g on the east coast central coast of Florida from Brevard county to 70 miles south to the Martin/Port St Lucie county line.

3G is a different story tho. It wasnt even worth it on my Ascend. It would go in and out so much that it would kill my battery that usually last 10 hours in the matter of a couple hours. And it was capped at 1x speeds.

in late october, Tom Keys was talking about how they have to aquire more spectrum if they want LTE for all.

MetroPCS still has plenty of work to do before it can achieve that goal, Keys admitted. It has to expand its LTE network through spectrum acquisition so it can offer the capacity and sheer speeds of its competitors. “With an average of 22 MHz in every market , we understand we need more,” he said.

4G World: MetroPCS plays the equal-opportunity operator

wesely chapel aka new tampa in florida has been getting some 4g coverage in different areas where its still being developed.

So Metro finally expanded and 4G went live today in the Lehigh Acres/Ft. Myers area. The website doesnt show it yet, but I'm suspicious that the 3025 prl update contributed to the early release on my phone. Absolutely loving the speed, but battery life really does suck. I have a feeling I'll be using Any Cut to turn off LTE once I get done playing. So far my speed test results are on average 4mbps down and 2mbps up. Not bad for a start, especially in comparison to the old super-slow 1xRTT speeds. Just ordered an extended 3600mah battery on ebay, should be here by friday. I'll post more results as time goes on. In the meantime, I'm uber-satisfied with my cell provider (for the first time ever). :D

I was at a Metro corp even the other night and was speaking to one of the top guys in Engineering, who was saying that not only will Atlanta be the first market with 100% LTE penetration, but every single tower is being retrofitted to LTE, as well as all new tower locations built. And to expect them all switched on and 'official' around black friday.

I had gotten a replacement for my phone, I got a new LTE card with the new replacement and it says UICC Card LTE2 on the receipt, I wonder if that means anything?
