LTE vs. CDMA

Hello,

So I've decided that the new Commando is worth losing my Unlimited data plan. I had an original Commando, I broke the screen and decided not to fix it so I bought a Droid X. But this phone looks impressive.

My problem is, I live in a rural area. I am pretty sure there aren't any LTE towers around here. But I see this phone has no CDMA radio. Will the LTE radio work on the CDMA bands, for areas where there's only 3G coverage?

Thanks!

It is a CDMA phone with LTE and EVDO. There are several apps available that will allow you to run in CDMA only mode. This helps a bunch with any LTE phone. Keep LTE off until you need it. If you live in an area with no LTE or weak LTE the radio will suck the life out of your battery searching for service or trying to stay connected.
