Root M050 Root

Motochopper did not work. I unzipped the file and tried to load the .exe and it would not load due to a missing .dll file that should be on my computer.

Running W7 on an HP laptop.

Also was going to load unlockroot but there are a few choices to make.
Unlock phone for bootloader
Unlock root pro

do I need them both?

I tried to load the pro and google chrome would not even let it start loading and blocked it immediately!

OK downloaded MOTOCHOPPER and unzipped the file.

My phone does not show a USB option for debugging.

My only choices for USB connection are:

Charge only
Media Device MTP
Camera PTP

Only 3 choices. I tried the charge only and media and ran the run.bat file which opened a window showing the root exploits, and says its running but nothing is happening.
Am I missing a step?

On the main USB page in settings I show 3 choices
1 - Ask on Plug
2 - USB connection (which give me the 3 choices above)
3 - Upgrade tool mode.

Yup...

settings>developer options>usb debugging.

Thanks for that. DUH!
Phone is now rooted!!! Yeah!!!

Now, is there a list of things to shut off/freeze. Also, besides TP, which SU should I use. Is there a difference in which one I choose.

Also, I paid for the key for Titanium Pro and it shows that its on the phone but for some reason it does not recognize it. I tried to buy it again and cannot as it claims its installed.

You have to have the regular titanium as well. The pro just turns on the other features. There was a list on here of what was safe to remove. Preety much if it has an icon its safe to freeze. Hidden apps are a little more tricky. If you freeze a hidden app that the phone needs for a process it will wake lock and kill your battery when it can't find it. I say freeze because its safer to fix back if you screw up. Once you know for sure you don't need a certain app and you don't intend to accept any future OS updates then feel free to delete.
