can anyone tell me were the settings are for vioce mail notififacation or a app iget vioce mail and no notifacation nottice
 
1. Don't know what phone model you have, or what carrier you're on. I'd recommend updating your account to reflect that, or remember to include it in your post.

2. If you're in the US, you could always get a Google Voice number, and set it up to be your primary voicemail provider. There's an official GV app, or you can just have it email you with an approximated transcription
 
I did some googling for you, but I wasn't able to find much on your problem; most people can't seem to get rid of their notification. The best I can do for you at this point is to refer you to the Defy sub-forums, and see if anyone who owns the same model of phone as you is more familiar that I am with the notification-less problem.
