M8 Kodi Homescreen

Hello to all members,

Firstly I'm new to Kodi Android TV M8 box, and have come across 2 icons on my homescreen.

I'm not sure how they came there, and asking if anyone knows how to delete them.

Thank you.

Cloud TV is a Chinese TV streaming app. Don't know if it works outside of China though. Not sure what the girl icon is, a dating app?

Possibly the box came with them pre-installed. Have a look at the list of installed apps in settings. Might be able to uninstall them from there, or at least disable them.

Hey mike, thanks, i found Cloud TV and which was pre-installed and i did uninstall it from the settings. This has now gone from the homescreen.
Regarding the girl icon, when you click to open it leads to Google homepage with a url address which cannot be open.
This i would like to delete also if known from the homescreen.

If the girl icon isn't an app, it sounds like an internet URL short-cut then, which won't appear in apps. Usually to delete them is to hold down on it, and that should give the option to delete. However this device doesn't have a touch-screen you can hold your finger down on. Might be able to do it with a PC mouse though. I guess it's Chinese as well, the text is gibberish, when it should be in Chinese probably, and frankly she does look somewhat oriental as well. :D ..and also it can't open the URL, probably if you're not in China.

Yes i agree its a URL short-cut, and when its highlighted and clicked on a box opens, 'Complete action using' Browser or Videomix. Browser takes it to Google with a URL. Videomix opens up a streaming movies app.

If highlight the icon and press menu, an option box pops up with Wallpaper, Manage Apps, System Settings
And still i cannot find an option to delete it.

Well the answer to this was to erase all data and reinstall Kodi.
Now the icons are gone from Homescreen.

Now i do not have the Kodi icon in the Taskbar of the Homescreen.

Would anyone know how to add it alongside the other icons.
Thank you
