Mac user / Need help w/ Gmail on Address Book

Good Day,

Any Mac users out there that can help me out.

Im on the latest version of the OSX and I am trying to add my gmail contacts so they sync with my address book. So When I try to add it under preferences as an exchange server it doesn't recognize the gmail server setting of "m.google.com" thats the one I use on my iPad and iPhone and it works but wont work on the OSX. Tried to add the account as a regular account not as an exchange but it also wont let me do it in the address book. It use to but not anymore.

Can anyone help please?

Use chrome, or thunderbird. The native mac program will not support contact sync. There is a offline mode under chrome and the main Page, works great.

Thunderbird has addons for google's contacts and calendar and ei work with pretty much any other email provider you have minus mapi.

Contact sync works just fine ... you need to add it under Local Contacts and it has option to enable Gmail ... i can tell you exact steps once I reach home in about 5 hours
