im a mac user and am looking at buying the asus infinity TF700T tablet. i was wanting to know if i would be able to sync the tablet with my mac for uploading photos updating software and apps or is it just strictly windows based or is it its own platform?

You should be able to sync photos shot with the tablet fully automatically with free DropBox to your Mac. It's in Dropbox' settings.

And with the free combo app DropSync you can auto sync any folder's contents to your DropBox, and consequently to your Mac.

Of course your DropBox will require sufficient storage space.
