Help Macbook Air and E4GT

When I connect my phone to my Macbook Air, iPhoto will only recognize the phone memory and not the SD card.

Both the disk drives show up on the desktop and I can browse them and the pictures are there.
In iPhoto both drives show up but when I click on the SD card storage it says 0 photos.

Anyone know why it wouldn't recognize them?

My imac does not even recognize that the phone is plugged in !! i am trying like crazy to upload photo's from my 4gt to iphoto and can't figure out how to do it !! Totally bummed...

There is an option in Iphoto to import pictures from the sd card on the epic. I have done it before but it has been awhile. I am not by my computer but if you do some digging you will find it. It can be done.
