Made in india?? Fake??

Hey guys! So i was just checking my s3 out. It is an international version. I had opened my battery for some reason, but Suddenly i noticed a sticker(on the handset) that said that it was made in india!! I looked on google and all of the posts said theirs were made in korea or vietnam. So i just started to worry that my s3 might be fake!! So if u have some free time, can u check the sticker which u find after removing the battery and see which country urs is made in. And is there any way to confirm that ur s3 is real? Thanks

If i am right they are called Feiting models from korea or vietnam. They are what we call counterfeit here in the US. Henceforth the name feiting aka counterfeit. They have a couple of models released one that is popular Star Galaxy Note A7100(Spreadtrum). MTK6515 2.0 Ghz 256mb ram Android 4.0 ICS but its truly running Android 3.6. Just go to about phone and look at the kernel version and see if that help your question on google. Good luck.

And google would likely bounce you back to our extended forums ;) Give it some time for people to read and respond here.
Where did you buy yours?

Good luck!

My best friend bought one from ebay and he bricked it while trying to root it. I managed to find the firmware and unbrick it after extensive days reading forums and loop holes around google. I manage to find a lot of what i was looking for in asian forums and web sites. What a pain in scrotum that was. I work a lot on different phones purchased from ebay. Asian phones are tough to work on if not knowing the right stuff..lol Cheers!

Glad it work out for you. So you're quite knowledgeable now. Hope you'll be able to share here if another question comes up.

Samsung has a factory in India. The Galaxy S3 is being manufactured in India as well. I can't post links since I'm a new user but you can find on the web that Samsung is manufacturing Galaxy S3 at their factory in Noida and plans to start manufacturing the S4 as well. (Google "S4 made in India")

As an Indian, I can tell you unlike China, we actually respect copyright law and there aren't much counterfeit products with the "made in India" tag.
