magnetic sensor wrong

Few days ago arrived home my new cell phone P07-922 white (Haipai noble) bought from ​

5.3 Touch Screen Android 4.0.4 WiFi 3G Smart Phone -White P07-922 - TinyDeal

Yesterday I installed Google Sky Map app, but not work fine so intall another one called Compass with the same result and a pop up say "magnetic sensor wrong, restart the cell".
Anyone you know what's the problem? defective cell?

Did you put in your coordinates manually?

I had trouble with Google Sky. It insisted I was in the Southern Hemisphere. (I'm not)

I finally got SkEye. If you wave your phone around in a figure 8 pattern, it resets.

SkEye just showed me Deneb where Polaris should be. Waved the phone and Polaris came up in the right spot.
