mail app with unread count in imap folders

Hi,

Is it possible to get the mail app to display unread counts for imap folders?
I have a bunch of server-side filters that move unread email into different folders, but its not possible on the Hero to see which imap folders have unread items (except Inbox).

I've tried both the Mail app and K-9 but couldn't find a setting to show them. Anyone else figured it out?

I would also like to know this ... as far as I can tell the only way to make the email app recognize that there are new/unread messages is to open the folder or long-click the folder and refresh it.

oh, I have a droid, not a hero, but seemingly the problem is the same

I ended up using the K9 mail application from the market and have been very happy with it.
K-9's use of folder classes can be used to set which server-side folders are both displayed and sync'd.
