Mail app

Hi folks. At the minute I use the Gmail app on my S3 handset but I want to migrate back to my own domain email over imap using the standard email app in Android.

It seems to work ok but is there any way I can specify the SENT items mailbox so that any emails I write on my S3 also appear in the SENT items mailbox on my desktop at home.

By default it seems to store them on the phone rather than on the server.

My web server uses cPanel and is fairly generic if that helps.

Many thanks!

Basically just 'bcc' yourself. Just checked on my Desire HD running ICS and the stock app doesn't have an option to do this automatically. I use K9 and this does have that option. Makes it easier than typing the 'bcc' yourself every time.

HTH.

Ok...here's an idea...

If I use the default mail app to connect to my gmail account is there any way of changing the FROM address?

I have GMAIL set up to allow mail to be sent from my @domain.com email address, but the stock email app doesn't appear to allow for this?

It's very limited...annoying.
