Help Mail Application

I Have several mail clients including Gmail Yahoo and AOl. I have set them up on the S3 but i get no notification icon like i used to on the HTC desire.

Anyone no of a good free app or how to resolve this probable easy fix issue?

I'm not really sure what you mean by notification icon, I also have several email accounts set up into my S3 and I've put the email app icon (not the widget) on my home screen, whenever I get a new email I get a notification on the drop down menu at the top and on the top left corner of the email app shortcut on the home screen. Just make sure that you haven't disabled the notifications from the quick settings icons in the drop down menu.

Yes i think that is what i mean lol. Can you explain please to help me make sure it is set up correctly.

first thing make sure that you have your notifications turned on by clicking on this icon here

and the email settings go to your email inbox then click on the menu soft button next to the home button then go to settings and select the email account you want to configure then scroll down a bit until you see and option that says "email notifications" and make sure that the box is checked. then repeat this process for all your other email accounts.

Is this response carrier specific? I have the S3 for Verizon and in my drop down quick menu I don't have the option for notifications. It goes from Power Saving to Airplane Mode to Driving Mode.

I'm also having the issue that my stock email app isn't notifying me of new emails (only synced to my Yahoo account). It worked earlier tonight but I missed a pretty important email from 9pm (it's 1am) and only saw it because I was on my computer. Gmail app works fine on the phone though.

Any ideas?
