Help Mail Client will not delete emails from Exchange Server

I am using the stock email client on Galaxy S3 to connect to an Exchange 2003 server. I can send and receive emails fine, however any emails that I delete via the phone do not get deleted on the server.

I've grown used to this behavior, however it does get annoying coming into the office on a Monday morning and having to delete all the emails that I had already deleted from my phone over the weekend.

I have not been able to tell if this is an issue with the phone or the exchange server itself. I am the administrator for the server so I can adjust settings if anyone has any ideas on things that may affect this from the server side.

Most other employees at the office use IPhone and do not have any issues deleting messages. This initially led me to believe that the problem was with my phone/Android.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

I don't know if you've found an answer to this issue yet, but I've never had this happen with my exchange accounts- any emails I delete on my phone are immediately deleted in Outlook. I scoured the settings for the stock email app & could only find one entry that was related which enable the "confirm on delete" dialog which I have turned on.

Deletions have always worked for me on android versions 2.1 and up in the stock app using my exchange account, so maybe it is something on the server side...

Go to settings in the e-mails app, select your e-mail address from under the "Added Accounts" section. Go to "More Settings" down the bottom. Down the bottom is the"Server Settings" heading. Select "Incoming settings". Down the bottom it says "Delete email from server" - this needs to be selected as "When I delete from inbox".

I have a Galexy s3, Android version 4.1.2 can not find the option to delete emails from server, the option is not in the email account setup under the incoming / outgoing mail settings. Any ideas on how to do this?
