Mail Feature Missing in ICS

The native Mail app on my Droid Incredible (running Gingerbread) has a nifty feature that allows one to specify the maximum size of an incoming message to be downloaded. Choices are 1KB (text only), 5KB (text only), 25KB, 50KB, 100KB, 1MB and no limit. This feature is invaluable on, for example, a cruise ship where one is paying 65 cents a minute for Internet access. I used the 25KB limit with much success on a recent cruise.

I have a new Asus Transformer Prime tablet that is running Ice Cream Sandwich. The Mail app that is installed on it has no such message limit feature. What are my options for obtaining such a feature for the tablet?

Since posting the previous message I've been researching Android email apps. There are lots of comments, many positive, about K9 Mail. Before I go as far as installing it and checking it out, are there any K9 users here who can answer my original question about message download size limits?

Both K9 and the Kaiten (paid) Mail apps have the option to set the size of message to be downloaded. I used K9 and made the move to Kaiten. Both are great apps.

Thanks for the advice, kmf. I've just installed K9 Mail on both of my Android devices. Seems to be fine so far.
