Maildroid issues

Hello,

I don't know if this is the right forum for the issue that I am going to mention. I have both a Samsung Galaxy S2 phone and tablet. I have Maildroid on both. However, when I want to download new messages, it I can't get it on my tablet, but I can on the phone. How do I get new messages on both?

I sure hope some one replies to this as I am thinking of moving to Maildroid. And I am going to use it on both my S3 and Kindle. (So basically I'm bumping this for you :D

I know this is stating the obvious but do you have the exact same settings on both phone and tablet. When you say you "can't get new messages on the tablet" is that after checking mail on the phone? Or anytime?

What sort of accout do you have? pop3 or imap? Basically, with pop3 all email gets downloaded to the requesting device and does NOT leave a copy on the server, whereas with imap all email is on the server and your 'device' just sees a copy of it if you like.

It sounds like you may have a pop3 account so you need to check the settings you have on your email client. Things such as 'do not delete on server if deleted on phone' or 'leave copy on server when downloaded'. I think there is a limit to how long you can leave your emails there as well.

But maybe you have just set up your email client incorrectly, as stated above, and that's all the problem is ..... :-)

Hello everyone,

My issue is more about getting new mail on my tablet. I'm not getting it even before I use my phone. I still email from May on my tablet. Whereas with my phone, I have no problems. That's the issue. I'm wondering how to solve the issue on my tablet before I use my phone. What do I have to change in the settings?

I'd delete the account (on the tablet email client that is!) and start again.

I think you can try deleting the account and re-creating this, but this sounds like something else. Try that and if it fails, post back here or email me for support.
