This is one possiablity: You have the pc email program set to "do not leave a copy on the server" . So every time you turn the email program on your pc on it will pull all of your emails off the server and on to your pc and then when your phone goes to sync with the server it shows no emails and removes them from your phone.

I actually have live mail set up like this with my verizon email address so my phone and tablet are not cluttered with junk mail.
