Help Main screen gone ?!?!?

Hello.

I don't what happened to my phone but it's acting very odd all of a sudden.

The main screen shows my background image BUT I don't see the Apps I put on the screen nor can I get to the other apps when I push the Apps button I can call and text but it seems nothing else at the moment. I tried rebooting as well as taking the battery out. When I did take the battery out..I DID see the apps on the main creen for a few seconds then they vanished.

Any ideas what this is and HOW I can fix it?!?!?

Factory reset dude.

Are you using the default launcher?
Can you get to the settings from the main screen? Menu-->Settings.
If you can get to the settings then I would clear the data for the launcher first and see if that works.
