Help Maipad Flytouch 3 DISCO10 Tim6a System Blocked

Phylosoft

Lurker
I have a Maipad Flytouch 3 DISCO 10 with the room Tim6a. From some days ago every time I switch on my Tablet it is in the same "status" it was on nov 15th.

I mean that:
- if I install new apps, when reboot the apps are not there
- if I remove some app, when reboot it is still there
- it makes the same updates of apps every time I switch on
- I changed my google password in my laptop, when I swith on the tablet it asks me for the password and I type it, but everytime I switch on I need to do this. It does not remember the change
- If I open the gmail the first list of emails are the ones I had on nov 15th, after a while it refreshes

Things I tried:
- reinstall same room or different: it does not allow me to reinstall any room. I tried and the process seems to run normally but after rebooting the old room is there with all the apps and the data.
- reset button: nothing
- back+home+power: nothing because the menu with the four options does not appear
- I searched for the Factory Default Settings, but the option Settings>Privacy does not exist on my Tablet...

I guess you can help me because I have no more ideas to try and right now a tablet without the possibility of updating apps or core data is not useful

Thank you in advance

Known and fairly common problem. Start reading here http://androidforums.com/gome-flytouch-3/293089-superpad-2-flytouch-3-firmware-update-official-releases-4.html#post3208406

Sorry if a repeat a thread and thanks for your tip but I did not find the solution yet.
I tried the one you point me to but it does not solve my issue.

After typing first "su" accepting the superuser and after that type:
"/system/bin/fsck_msdos -y /dev/block/vold/179:17"
the answer is "Can't open: No such file or directory."

If I type:
"\system\bin\fsck_msdos -y \dev\block\vold\179:17"
then the answer is "systembinfsck_msdos: not found"

Could it be that the pointed solution only works for the P041 model? Mine is Disco10 (Maipad F10B)

Any idea on how to proceed? Thanks again

The next line down says -
>Other than that....replace the internal tf card and try re-flashing

Your internal tf card - the one holding the operating system and all your apps is probably corrupt and has gone read only, any changes you make are forgotten after a re-boot. The procedure is supposed to force the card back into read/write but if it doesn't work (I have never had to try it so I can't comment if it works) then opening up the tablet and replacing the (cheap) tf card with a higher quality one should return your tablet to a working condition. you will have to re-flash the tablet after fitting the new card, so download one of Tims firmwares SuperPad2 Flytouch3 Hybrid Tim Rom, read the tips page as you may have issues with stuff after flashing (wifi, media scan,3G). you might also want to download SDFormatter.exe to use on your tf cards Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!.
There are some photos of the FT3 disassembly here ImageShack Album - 18 images
TAKE CARE not to damage the two ribbon cables that connect the screen to the pcb.

There is a short guide here http://androidforums.com/gome-flytouch-3/293089-superpad-2-flytouch-3-firmware-update-official-releases-5.html#post3501116

I will take the risk of opening my bricked gadget. The TF card is a microSD, right? Do you know if I can put a 16GB instead of the 8 Gb?

Thanks a lot!

Yes, tf is the same as MicroSD
yes, you can replace the internal card with a 16GB. I cant see why you would want to unless you just happen to have a spare one

It worked. I only can say thank you! Now I need to find a good TF because the one I had at home is not HD and the tablet is very slow. I will go to a one Class 10!

Great....thanks for the feedback. Be wary of cheap tf cards, they often are not the capacity that they claim to be. Buy from a reputable source with lots of good feedback, or locally. Test the tf card with h2testw.exe Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!

I wouldn't have thought that the class of the card would make that much difference in the day to day operation of the tablet...but with the cost difference between a class 4 and a class 10 card being quite small it probably makes sense to buy the higher class card.

The one that came with the Tablet was a SanDisk Class 4 and it worked fine until it "crashed". The one I tried yesterday is a not brand not class one so I suposed that the slow performance of the tablet after install and configure it could be due to that. I will tell you the results of a faster one! Regards
