Hi everyone
I know there are loads of threads about kies issues so sorry for making another one, but trust me I have been searching for days and none of them have helped me sort my problems out.
I have a Galaxy S on the Three network and I just cant get it to connect to Kies at all.
Here is some of the info for my phone:
Firmware Version:
2.2.1
Baseband Version:
I9000XXJPU
Kernel Version
2.6.32.9

Build Number:
Froyo.xxjpu
I have had the phone for over a year now and I have only ever been able to connect to kies once, and that was to upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2 and that seemed to work fine.
but now when I connect my phone to the computer, the computer beeps and kies opens but it just stays on 'connecting' forever. It says 'connected' on the phone's screen.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers loads of times and everytime it says they where successfully installed but it still just hangs at 'connecting'
I am starting to lose my mind over this issue.
kies is the latest version, I have tried a different usb cable.
one thing I did notice that I am not sure about is, when the phone is connect to the pc, in the device manager there isnt MTP USB devicem should there be?
Any help would be great.
