Help Major Sound Problem

Lyall

Lurker
Hey all, so I've had my Samsung Galaxy Ace for all of 2 hours and have been left with a problem. I went to settings > sound settings > phone ringtone and was just browsing through all of the different tones when suddenly my sound cut out. Now I have absolutely no sound at all unless I'm in a call with someone then I can hear their voice.

So yeah, I can't hear a ringtone, any dialtone settings, music, nothing.. I'm not on silent mode and I've tried a full factory reset, any ideas? Surely the speakers can't be broken as its brand new.:(

Yeah, I've tried putting all those sliders on maximum and still nothing, really can't think what it could be.. Thanks anyway.

More info: All sound works fine when I have the headphones plugged in. Do you really think the speakers are broken after an hour of use?

there arent any more settings for sound... u can tell this to ur dealer or go to service center... :-)

Speakers are damaged when your phone falls from a height or there is a problem in the circuit, either way please check with your dealer

my fone the same sending it back to virgin mobile for repair they say they had loads sent back so take it back to the shop or network u got it from

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Ace and a few hours of use the speaker suddenly the sound cut out . So I have absolutely no sound at all unless I'm in a call with someone then I can hear their voice or when I use the ear phone.

I also, reset the cell phone and the problem still.

If some one found a solution, please let us know.
