Help Make Folders?

I have a folder of text files I would like to put on the home page of my Nexus 7. Is there a way to make a folder like that? If so, does anyone know how?
 
i would use a file management tool to create the folder fill it and move it to where you want it. file manager hd works, my files may
 
There's a little app called folder widget that can create a shortcut to a file on your desktop but I don't see a way to put those shortcuts into a folder. I tried creating a folder on the desktop and dropping the file widget shortcuts into it but that didn't work.
 
You'd create a shortcut of this folder of files on your home screen.
File managers like ES File Explorer (free in Play Store) are able to create shortcuts of folders.

Spot on Harry2. All this time I've had ES file explorer and I didn't now I could do that. :stupido2: Dragonady ES File Explorer is a free app available in the Play Store. You can download it here. Once you have it on your device long press on the folder you want a shortcut to then tap on the 3 dots for More. Placed second from the top is the option to Add to desktop. Tap on that and your folder is transferred there.
 
Great! Thanks so much for the help. It is working like a charm. I just wish there was a way to make and add text files without having to do them on the laptop. Sigh....oh well. We can't have everything! LOL! I'm just glad I have you guys to help with my problems. When I try to look them up on Google the links I am given don't even come close. I'm lucky you guys always figure out what I'm trying to ask!

You can also use ES File Explorer for to do that job at the tablet.
ES can create text files and can edit it with its build-in text editor ... or use a text editor from Play Store. I like Jota :)
