Help Make MT4G essentially "Phone only"

I got 4 of these phones when they were free through the Valentines promotion here. I gave one to my mother, after a month of use she is just not getting the hang of it. I would like to disable a lot of the features to make it simpler for her. Also save on her battery.

Any recommendations on what to do?

Sure. On the home screen, press the Menu button. Then select Settings > Wireless and Network Settings

Turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth

Then under Mobile network settings, de-select Data enabled

Of course, if you're already paying for a data plan, I'm not sure what the point of doing that would be.

Play around with some different launchers, make a big phone icon that way she can call people easily, and put a 911 contact on the home screen. Thats all she needs right?

Yeah, I tried to teach her about the features but it's useless, so I'd just like it to run as little as possible because she's going to use it only as a phone.

I found a windows phone 7 launcher today that would be perfect. Just set her tiles as needed.
