long press the homescreen, select widgets, select task, select new task
once it loads, add the tasks you want the widget to execute
it will be something along the lines of Network > Mobile Data > Toggle
(you can make the widget icon & label change to reflect the on/off status but that requires more steps)
nope, by homescreen i mean any of the 'main' screens of the phone.
That's odd that you don't have it listed under your available widgets (I get 2: Task, and Task Timer). Do you have the full version? if so, try reinstalling

there's several ways to do it,
off the top of my head...
you could try adding the following tasks to the widget task you already have:
Set Variable %MOBILE to 0 if %MOBILE not set
Set Widget Icon to (off icon) if %MOBILE doesn't equal 0
Set Widget Icon to (on icon) if %MOBILE equals 0
Add Variable %MOBILE value of 1
Clear Variable %MOBILE if %MOBILE greater than 1
They need to be added in that order, and i usually tick 'do maths' whenever the option is there for the variable so do that too (also, you can rename MOBILE to whatever you want, trust me I know how annoying it is to type variable names into tasker!)
Hope it works![]()
Thanks for all the Info. Can you edit a Widget you have already made?
Your widget should be linked to a task. Go into Tasker, tap "tasks" near the bottom right corner, select the task that is associated with that widget in the drop down menu, and then you can edit it.
Thanks. I figured you could edit a Task within the Widget but can you add a new Task to a Widget once you have created it?
I don't think you can add a new task to an established widget, but like you say, you can edit a task which is called by the widget - for this reason, I prefer to make a new titled task for any widget I create, then I can edit that task as my needs change.Thanks.
