Making calls using a headphone without built-in microphone

Is there a way to make the handset microphone work when headphones are plugged in?

This means if you are using regular headphones to listen to music, and a call comes in, you won't be able to talk to them without unplugging your headphones.

What? Are you saying you can't talk into the regular, built-in mic when headphones are plugged in? Is this how the L9 is?

I was thinking about purchasing the L9 on a whim, but this fact alone would drive me crazy. It can't be true, can it?

Welcome to the forums . I think the op was asking if the headphones have a built in mic . the answer is yes the mic part tells you to press the button when speaking and release when your done talking. I been told u can use that same button to take photos of yourself . plug in headphones turn on camera set a pose and press the mic button and release and photo should take

Im pretty sure OP was in fact asking about being able to use headphones without the built in mic on them and instead use the mic on the phone itself.

As far as I know this can't be done by default on many Android phones, not just the L9. I've never really bothered finding out since I seldom experience this, but perhaps there is an app or tweak that will allow you to use both headphones and the phone mic at the same time. I would search other general Android forums for this.
