Help Making Galaxy Nexus wallpaper advice needed

so i am thinking about making wallpapers in HD for the GNex. is there any advice or tips i need to know. the biggest thing i wanted to know is whats the file size and dimensions that need to be for the photos/wallpapers to fit right

I'm not much help, but I would download one of the stock ones and look at the file properties.

I haven't tried for the gnex but I believe all android wallpapers are the screen height in pixels by double the width in pixels.


Edit: here's a stock wallpaper - size is 1440 x 1280.

Can anyone suggest a good program to use to re-size images to this size? I'm on a mac and can't seem to find the option to set a picture to the exact size I want.
