Making the switch

Bumps

Lurker
Finally going to be making the switch to android from my iPhone. Really tired of IOS and want something I can tinker with and really enjoy. The real question now is which phone do I get. I'm leaning towards the Note 4 but want to get your guys opinions on what other choices that are either out now or will be out in the near future that are worth looking at. I was thinking of waiting to see the details on the Nexus 6 but in the research I've done it seems like Verizon may not get the Nexus devices right away? I see that Verizon will be releasing the Nexus 5 soon and I like the idea of having pure android but feel like I would be getting an outdated phone. Anyway, thanks in advance for any suggestions and I'm looking forward to contributing to the forum.

Hi Bumps and welcome to Android Forums!

I currently have a Note 3 and absolutely LOVE it. I'm personally torn between the Note 4 and Note Edge: and I suppose it will all come down to cost-effectiveness, since I'm going to buy it outright at full retail, with no contract.

You're not alone coming from iOS. We welcome you! You might find this thread helpful:

Thanks for the welcome. I was checking out the edge but I'm worried that there won't be as many accessories and updates for the edge as there will be for the Note 4 due to it being a limited production device.

Hi there. Welcome to the phandroid community. The note 4 seems like a great phone. Though I never had the opportunity to look at one, or the note 3 either.

I'm a big Motorola user. I like their phones now. Have you had a look at the Moto X (2nd gen)?
