Help Malware

My phone has a device administrator that appears to be malware. Factory reset has not worked. How can I get rid of it?

What version of Android?
What is the device administrator that you refer to?

Seems the malware installed as a system App. That really so bad, I had a very similar malware two weeks ago, I got help here on this forum. What you can do it to root your device or let it be flashed. rooting will help you have ability to delete the which now behaves like a system App. it worked for me after hard struggle.

Have you tried just deselecting it as a system administrator (Settings > Security) and then uninstalling?

Edit: Ah, factory reset didn't fix it, so that won't be enough. As charlington has said, you either need to use root privileges to remove it or reflash the phone (method will depend on what manufacturer made the phone).
