Help Maps (Navigation) Crashes

Maps Navigation crashes intermittently for me - sucks since I'm trying to go places... To note, I have stock text to speech (since the upgraded version caused problems a month or so ago - haven't tried latest recently) and the latest version of Maps....

Anyone else suffer?

Yes. Went to Baltimore for a baseball game and Maps kept going crazy. The blue arrow showing where I'm at would not even be on a street sometimes. Then it would just stop sometimes but voice kept talking. I got sent into a ghetto section and luckily I restarted it and it worked and got me back to the highway. I am going to use the apk of an older version from my old LG Optimus Elite that works perfect. Amazing to me how most apps updates end up ruining a perfectly good working version. I have started backing up working apps for this reason.

Do you by chance have it plugged in to charger? If so unplug it and see how it functions. Charging my AWE has always broke my GPS and made my data unreliable. Unplugged its a dream. On a side note I installed slim kat and that improved my battery life so i dont necessarily have to charge. Just ordered a Volt though....

If I don't keep it charged, it drains in < 2 hours. Waze doesn't crash. The old Navigation app (sideloaded) doesn't crash.

But, after a while, it stops charging while maps is open (or at least the screen is on).
