Google Maps is using my battery even when I don't use it.
It's 5%-10%/day, 10-15min/day.

Maps using battery even when not in use

Seems a little high (mine typically hangs at about 3%, 06m 09s, unless I use the app a bit). Keep in mind though that other apps could use Maps services and processes, and also so that it doesn't take so long each time you open it, some processes may stay running in the background. What values does it show for the CPU total, Keep awake, and GPS Use Details?

I Unchecked "Location & Google Search" and "Compass warning" in the "Location services" Button. Maybe that will help.
Seems a little strange, although if google is using maps/gps every time I browse the internets I could see why it is using a lot of power.

I didn't use Google Maps all day.
There are apps that are using google map automatically that you might have not notice. I am using att one x so I don't know if you are having the same issue. One app that i notice that uses the map automatically is soundhound i have use this app to look for music after i use it to look for a song the map appeared and show me my location on the map so i forced stop it. Also found out some game apps the ones that have third parties trying to sell you stuff can also open up map app. There is also yet again an app that opens up map had to force stop att navigator and att ready to go wish the two app could be deleted from phone. Also there is one app that arrived threw an update can't remember which one but it need to use the google map just be sure to read the updates before you update.
