Market and New Handset

I have an HTC Hero - which I love. Unfortunately, it looks like the trackball is broken - it only goes up, down and left.I'm going to call Orange to get a replacement handset but, will I lose access to the market apps I've paid for? Or does the fact that my market use is tied to my google account mean that it will remember which apps I've purchased and allow me to download them on the new handset?

Your apps are tied to your Gmail account ..so just register the replacement phone under the same account and you will be able to reinstalled your paid and free apps again by going into Market | MyDownLoads
