Market missing apps & categories?

i still have market version 2.3.4 and top paid and top free in all applications shows no apps. and top paid in games shows nothing. and the ones that do show wont show more than 10. search does work tho.

so are they breaking the old one before everyone gets the new one pushed? that kinda a crappy move. tested it on my wifes phone too. same problem. tried force stopping the market and restarting the phone
 
since yesterday i've noticed there's a lot of apps missing in andriod market and this morning the entire Tools category is gone. i tried to clear market cache and data no use. is this a market glitch?

Everything is working fine for me.

Did you try restarting your phone, or taking the battery out and putting
it back in?
 
i dind't take the battery out but i did restart
i managed to get it working for a few hours by clearing cache and data and uninstall updates but after a while it's bugged again
 
I've noticed this too. Some dont have a "see more" page too. Knowing google someone probably spilled coffee on one of the servers. :D

Going to keep an eye on this too. Especially because my app (BlueMuze) was rising in the ranks in "top paid, music and audio"
 
Sorry for the mess of posts all, but there were 3 different threads about the same issue, just consolidating them here :)
 
glad to hear it's not just me then...been hard resetting my phone hoping to fix this problem, hate to know my new s2 is going bad already
 
When I saw that the free 'Financial' section was missing, I just though it was Google consolidating all the tip-calculator apps into another category.
 
it's been 2 days and it's still not fixed
i dont' want to keep clearing cache and data cause it's not my fault
 
I noticed some apps missing as well. Mostly all the at&t apps and featured apps from the home page. (This all happened yesterday.) Today when I went into the market, I had the new market. Maybe this is what's going on.
 
wut do u mean the new market? mine is still 2.3.6
and my phone is unlocked so there's no carrier apps just stock android apps

If you are referring to my statement, the old market did have a catagory for AT&T apps only. The new market does not. The new market is version 3.0.27.

Those are carrier specific apps. Could be a special AT&T version of the Market just for AT&T subscribers. After all it would be rather useless to have AT&T apps available to someone who's on China Mobile. There is an AT&T Authorised Dealer locator app, it's going to have a hard time finding one of them around here.

BTW I see a load of Netflix and Hulu apps, most of which are completely useless outside of the USA. Although there is one exception, I Heart Radio, which is the official Clear Channel radio streaming app. The I Heart Radio website just gives "Due to licensing restrictions, we are not able to allow access to the content you are requesting from outside the United States...blah blah blah.", however the I Heart Radio app works just fine for me.
