market not portrait?!

This is more like a complaint than a question but I can't believe that the market doesn't go portrait mode! Facebook is really annoying how its only 1/2 portrait.. ugh.. still enjoying though. I can't wait for the hi to evolve a little bit.

why should viewing the market, or any app, in portrait mode on a WIDESCREEN based TABLET be standard??? thats like getting your laptop and turning it sideways to view material...

the xoom is landscape based.. thats one of its selling points...

however on your bandwagon, perhaps google will format it for portrait down the road.. :)

It is pretty frustrating that Xoom's native is landscape and non xoom apps are portrait ... I feel like I'm constantly rotating or better yet just turning my head now cause I'm too lazy to turn it into portrait when it's on easel stand

Tablets are supposed to be versatile that is the whole point. If it is so landscape based, why does it have a orientation lock? Why do any apps appear in portrait at all? It's not like a laptop in the way that there is no "right way" to hold it(bar stupid options such as screen facing away..). IMHO all apps should be formatted for 0,90,180, and 270. For instance, I like to surf the web in portrait because there is less 'weight' trying to turn your wrist in portrait than in landscape, but angry birds is really probably best in landscape. I don't see why a portrait market sounds so outlandish.

To each his own I guess...

While I don't care to use it in portrait myself, I do see why some and why they should include, or update it. I don't see why some even care to question why others would want it. The more features/functions the better.

Its not bad in portrait mode. I can still read it, saying alot with my bad eyes. You can even increase the text. So what's "not good about portrait"?
