Help Market place not working

hey,

When i try to update or install something it just says "starting download..." with a moving along grey bar. Occasionally they do install, or sometimes when I restart the phone it installs or come up saying download/installation ( i cant remember which) failed.

I have a debranded T-mobile HTC desire, got it when it came out which in the uk, which was like 4 months ago (?)

Settings>applications>Manage applications>Market>Clear cache

Reboot.

Now?

Thanks very much. You also helped me to fix my other issue i had (http://androidforums.com/desire-support-troubleshooting/192278-not-syncing.html), making me tihnk of going into the 'Manage applications' menu for the sync and force closing it. Thanks, saved me from a factory reset
