My Sony Ericsson Xperia 8 also has usual android market instead of that play store. The problem is I cannot download or update any apps at the moment.Can't even use my Facebook..any can help..thanks in advance

This sounds like you no longer have the appropriate internet settings on the handset, I suggest you contact your network provider and request these settings to be sent back to the device.
