Well, just got my old Nexus One back from HTC after (hopefully) getting fixed (weak 2G signal...).
Giving it to the wife & set up a new Gmail etc ID for her (she's got an old, very dumb, Nokia she uses for voice & txt only...).
So, power it back on, stick in a spare SIM I'd happily used before (still active, can still make/receive phone calls..works in N1).
All the usual stuff is there - MAPs, messaging, news/weather, Browser etc. WifI works fine, easy setup. Browser works fine.,..
Market can't download any apps. You can find Apps (eg Battery Widget, Astro, Hotmail...), select, say yes to download & permissions and you then get "Download was unsuccessful. Please try again". (I did, nope..). Same symptom all 3 apps....
Saw elsewhere suggestion it may be security on the router (which I was happily using for over a year and use with my new Samsung Galaxy Nexus..).. so I tried a neighbours WiFi... (silly lad, he leaves it open..). Same problem.
I've stopped & cleared data/cache on Market, rebooted the 'phone, still don't work...
also get "Google Talk authentification failed" ever 30 minutes or so...
Had a look at Gmail account settings but can't see anything I should have set (but please, ANYONE, point out the obvious I missed!!!)
Now I used this self-same 'phone as my own for almost 2 years & never had these symptoms., Had been factory reset before going back to HTC...
Any suggestions guys??
