I went to buy beautiful widgets and i've always thought since im in the us and i have att it would just bill my att bill, but my only option if credit card, and i've tried like 4 other popular apps. Any ideas? maybe i have to set it up somehow

then i guess all these threads i've read about att enabling it last year and google having instructions on how to do it are lies. It's all over google, no one having my prob tho

I said I wasnt sure, you could be right, but ive never purchched an app w/o a CC

pretty sure the only way you can buy apps for andriod is with a CC.

Correct.

All of the carriers have been in talks with google about doing this. I believe Sprint is the only carrier who is currently testing this at this time.

Honestly, I think it would be a good thing for carriers to give the option to pay for apps through your cell phone bill. It allows for easier ability to purchase which would be a benefit of developers and customers alike.

I figured it out, havent bought anything yet so i cant confirm it 100%. Anyways, i installed rcmix HD 5.9.7 for fun and in the marketplace i gained the option to bill my at&t carrier bill. I backed that marketplace up with titanium, installed cm7 and tried that marketplace, wasnt on it. So i wiped the current marketplaces data, and restored my rcmix hd one. I gained the option back. I'll edit when i buy something. Might create a quick step guide for this afterwards, some people could really find this useful.

It would also cause a giant *********** of people getting their bill and saying "I didnt get that or this and so forth and so on"

When you have to put a CC # in there is not much you can do to argue to say you didnt buy it.

Yeah, but there's some people ALREADY annoyed that their children are buying apps with their saved credit card info... if all you had to do was click and it got sent to their bill, can you imagine? People would FLIP that their five year old bought $300 worth of apps.

Personally, I think they should just realize a phone is not a toy, and if they INSIST on letting their kids play with it, at least supervise... but that's just me.

I completely agree with you about not letting children play with smartphones and the supervision if they do.
