Help Marshmallow and SD cards

Looking to hear from anyone with an SD card based phone that has or is getting Android 6.0

From what I know you can now format your SD card to perform just like your internal storage via a special format procedure.

Just looking for some feedback on how well this works. Ie all apps can be transfered and ran from the SD card with no issues. Just for future reference really.

Guess this is why 6.0 also come with much better backup procedures. Providing the backups are not encrypted I guess..
