Help maximum capacity sd card

Hello to all,
I'm new to this forum -
it already freed me about 20 MB just with deleting logs so im already grateful.
The next step is Link2sd and im following your tutorial as we speak.
The next step is to buy bigger MicroSD.
I use ACE S5830i, with 2.3.6 Android stock ROM i got with the phone.
I tried to search the forum but with no luck:

What is the maximum capacity MicroSD card that is supported by my phone?
Also, what is the maximum speed supported? Which Class?

5830 phone model supports 32 GB micro SD card max but I would not recommend you go that high in capacity. :)
 
Why wouldn't you recommend?
People encountered problems with it?
Wouldn't it just solved my whole storage issues for ever?

What about speed? Will class 10 work 100% ? Or higher?
 
Size upto 16GB is ok as many of my friends have had problems if they use a ful 32GB card. But then many have had no problems :) Also class 4 or 6 is fine any higher is an over kill for this phone.
 
socrates0 is quite right, a maximum of 16gb is enough for this phone, going for 32gb might give lags, 16gb has proven to be a good enough size.
Class 6 is sufficient for normal usage, however if you plan on using it for ext partition with link2sd a class 10 might be more suited with 16gb size, it'll make sure your apps don't lag when running through sd card.

I use an 8gb class 6 sd card with 500mb ext partition, but now i think even a class 4 card would have been sufficient for this size.

would you say that 1 GB partition is MAX due to performance problems?

Also since i've installed all the apps - especially go launcher, the phone started working slowly.. should i give it up?
 
not necessarily, you can make any size partition as per your requirement.
Go Launcher is very big on ram consumption, try a lighter launcher, like adw, holo launcher, zeal launcher, xperia s, launcher pro etc.
There are a lot of available options. Search on xda.
