Has anyone ordered this from cell phone repair shop and actually received there order yet? I order mine on may 1 and still nothing, I have called twice and they keep saying back ordered, I keep checking the website and all future orders are pushed way out... thanx
 
Yep. Sent my phone in in late April and got it back a few days later. They did a good job as the workmanship looks top notch and I've had no issues with the modded phone in a month. And I am LOVING the Maxx's battery! It really is like night and day! :thumbup:

They sent me to this link when I sent them an email about my order last week.

Bottom line: The estimated ship date of May 31 was pushed back to late June.
 
Ordered, received and installed mine. An interesting thing now appears on my ABOUT screen. It is now showing DROID RAZR MAXX as the model number. Not sure how, but it is. Really love the new battery. Makes this an awesome phone and can go 2 -3 days without searching for a charger.:D

how long did it take you perform the swap?

I am getting a RAZR as a replacement for my Bionic (could not get the MAXX)

my only concern is if the new RAZR has issues then I would have to swap the battery back for a claim
 
Took about 15 minutes as I was being extra careful. Make sure you order the prying tool and have access to T-3 and T-5 torx screwdrivers. If not, order them too. Wouldn't worry about having issues and having to swap battery back, these phones are awesome and have had few issues. Go for it!

As info, I didn't order the metal chasis part and had to do some grinding on it near the sim card area. If that scares you, just make sure you order that part as well, they are slightly different and it will prevent the new back from snapping in place and cause connectivity issues with the sim card and sd card.
 
I can handle the grinding, but my luck I will mess it up and need the other frame.

Once I get my RAZR (this week) I will use it with the battery it has but will consider doing this mod.

Only reason I voice concern is I have had my Bionic replaced 6 times since Dec and they (VZW) are allowing me to swap to a RAZR
