Help MayDay - Automatic Reboot is occurring

RandolphNY

Well-Known Member
I have had my Droid Maxx for 6 months.

I don't know why, but all of a sudden, my Maxx is rebooting continuously.

This began after I deleted a couple of apps that were either running in the background or no longer being used.

I probably will have to do a factory reset (yippie), but just wondering if others are seeing this happen.

- KitKat is upto date

Is the phone under warranty?

thank you for any thoughts!

May have deleted a system app. If rooted, you can flash a clean system partition in Safestrap and be set. Otherwise, HouseOFMoto is your answer...and it can be set up to not touch your data.

Try running in Safe Mode (disabling all apps you added without uninstalling them). If it stops then an app you added is causing the problem.

Can you get to Safe Mode?

While powered on.
Hit Power Off.
When menu appears ... long press on Power Off
When dialog appears choose OK

To exit Safe Mode do a normal Power Off/Power On
