UPDATE: AndyTacker FIRMWARE IS SUPPOSED TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH MEASY X7 PLAYER THAT HAS ANDROID 2.2 INSTALLED BY DEFAULT.

for what i was told the firmware runs much better Thant the stock one.

the issue that has being reported are:
1 - remote controler does not work (you may fix it with the solution i provided)
2 - the scree images still gets out form the screen.
 
the software of X7 , now the newest is V1110 , not V1026 which can get from measy website so please use measy sales account to get from Dropsend . here are the link , measy account and password

you can get the software of X7 (ZIP file) from storage . and here i also can send a word document about the steps of upgrading for you to refer Download upgrade__X7.doc from Mirrorcreator - Upload files to multiple file sharing sites
 
here are the update error while applying update

install /SD card

Installation Aborted
 
Can you clear the cache before aplying the firmware

1 tacke out the sd fro the player.
2 in the back you have a reset button. Pressit start the player it will thake tou tothe firmware flashing menu.
There do a factoy reset.wipe cache.

Then reboot the device. And see uf dies boot if npt inset the sd an try AGAIN to flash it

Clean all cache and dalvik swap an do a factory reset efore installing any firmware.

please read the thread before any compain.

Mine update work with few issues remote not working checked remote.cfg in update tried to build new custom update message signing error

any one can help me out. now we have to form a team to sort this out as no reply from measy

how to carry out dalvik swap

please explain better if the fix work. also upload a video is possible.

to create a custom rom you will need some aps. i will be sharing it with you. or you can find around the web

you can un zip the file using 7zip the you can do any modiciation to the rom. and then you will need any signing application to repack the rom.

then y ou will be able to test your custom rom.

by the moment forguet the dalvik issue :P

what i mean is my newly replaced measy x7 with android 2.3 cant install the fw that andy suggesting. even the old fw from measy. maybe because their is something different from old measy x7 with android 2.2 and this new measy x7 with android 2.3 (?)... even installing Z4root doesnt work with this new measy x7 witn android 2.3, when im installing the Z4 it doesnt install the superuser. it should be automatic right?

We have already say here that this was for the versiin of the swvice rgaa has andrios 2.2

Veraion of the decuce are not compatuble


ASK MEASY TO SEND YOU THE FIRMWARE 2.3 then post it here.

Ok will ask measy for 2.3 fw.

By the way is their any alternative for z4 root... Coz z4root not working for me.
