Media message problem

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am a volunteer firefighter and we have a system where when we receive a fire call the tones are sent via media message to our cell phones. This system works great for everyone but me. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and when the message comes through it is only as a text message with no media attached at all. All other phones in my dept are receiving the messages and the phones range from a very old krazr to the new iphone 5. Can anyone help me understand what may be going wrong?

Call your provider regarding setting up MMS on your phone.

I have MMS on my phone already. I receive pictures and audio messages on a daily basis. That is why I cannot figure out why I am not receiving these messages.

Two way to check ...

1. Checking your SIM - Try on another phone and see if audio comes through
2. Checking your phone - Try a buddy's sim on your phone and see what happens

If #1 issue, then call your operator
If #2, then the only way to troubleshoot such things is to get root and fiddle with few files. If you are up for it, its not that difficult.

Unfortunately i dont have a sim card. It does seem that a root is gonna be my only option because this is a very unique issue.
