Media scanner

I got this phone for my daughter about a year ago and have nothing but problems with it. Now the media scanner won't finish scanning and because of that I can't delete anything because the memory on this phone is horrible

1. Download the app using the link given above and install it on your phone.
2. Open Menu and launch the app by tapping its icon.
3. From the main screen of the app, choose System tab.
4. Tap on Media Storage from the list of apps that appear on your screen.
5. You will be presented with some options, choose Disable among them. close it.
7. Exit the app on your phone.
8. Reboot your phone.

Hi metroinphilly, if the phone is rooted, you could try Rescan Media ROOT (a free app) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.addz.mediascannerroot
This works fine for me.
