Media Server in Battery Stats.

[BandOfBrothers]

Hi,

MediaServer is showing in my Battery usage at 24%

What would be running to use that ?

Could it be Google Chrome?

Just a little update.

Seems to have been Google Chrome.

Disabled it and using the Samsung Stock Internet App.

Had exactly this yesterday. Disabled Chrome and all went back to normal. Used Dolphin today but was curious and re-enabled Chrome a couple of hours ago and it's all OK with no Media Server draining.

Never had this issue and use Chrome all the time.

I'd never had it either on my Note 3 so I was surprised when I found it was down to Chrome.

From my looking around on googling 'MediaServer' it pointed to chrome but seemed to show up as intermittent anomaly.

Admittedly I didn't try any other troubleshooting apart from clearing chromes caches, force stopping and disabling it.
