Media Server???

I'm having trouble accessing videos on my Fritz!box media server with the Android phone, I have an iPad and use Ace Player and Goodplayer both these apps "find" the media server on y WiFi without any problems.
I have BubbleUPnP and UPnPlay on my LG G2 but neither of them "find" the media player ....... can anyone suggest an app to use to watch the videos on my media server that will find the media server without any problems?

I don't know the Fritz!box, but if it has an IP address, connect to it with a browser or file manager (like ES File Explorer). If you can see the video files on the browser you should be able to play them by pressing them. (I just have a large drive plugged into my router to use as a "media server", and ES plays anything on it. I just go to :AN and there's the router. Go there, and I see the drive. Drill down to the file and play it.)

Thanks.... worked like a charm ...... connected to the ftp server on the Fritz!box and then created some home page shortcuts to get there quickly
