Mediascape Auto Starting on Bluetooth Connect

Hi all, I've been having this problem for about a week or so now, and its driving me crazy.

I listen to Audiobooks in my car on my drive to work using the Audio Book Player - Free App (Ver 1.11). I turn on my bluetooth and start up the app prior to hopping in the car in the morning. For the last 6 months or more, after I start the car, the phone auto connects to the in-car bluetooth, and my audiobook begins playing, which is great.

However, for the last week or so, when the bluetooth connects, the Mediascape starts up out of nowhere, and starts playing music, which completely drowns out the audiobook. (And almost makes my head explode, as to hear the audiobook sound, I have to turn the car volume up quite a bit, which in turn makes the song being played through mediascape come through at extremely high volume.)

I have been searching the web and these forums for days trying to find a solution. All I really want is to stop mediascape from automatically starting up and playing a song without me telling it to, but I can't find any settings that would explain this autoplaying even occurring.

I have tried disabling the mediascape services, and using Advanced Task Killer, but neither has worked reliably.

Please help, its driving me nuts!

Hi
I have the same problem. At random times (mostly when i am in the car but othertimes as well) mediascape will start up and either start playing or just load.
Quite often it wont close unless I reset the phone!
I have heard that others have experienced this especially Subaru owners.
Still trying to find a fix though.

I am afraid the easiest fix is to remove Mediascape and use a different audio player.

Sony likes their Mediascape software, but most x10 users hate it and remove it.

To remove it does require that you root (super easy, just click a button) and then install something like Titanium Backup and uninstall Mediascape.
