Meeting Invitation Setting All Recipients as "Organizers"

All,

I'm new to Android and using the HTC TB. The phone is simply mind-blowing and I've been able to overcome most of the issues I've had by doing a lot of research. However, there is 1 issues which I can't seem to figure out so I thought I'd throw this out there to see if anyone found a workaround or an app that will do it:

When I create a meeting in my calendar and turn it into an invitation, I am able to specify who I want to send it to, fill in all the details (date, time, etc.) and even add notes. Then I send it and the recipients receive it and open it. They are able to see all the details correctly including any notes I may have provided. All is fine up until this point.

Then, when the recipient tries to accept or reject the invitation, it gives them a pop up message telling them that they cannot accept/reject the meeting because they are an "organizer."

When I look at the meeting in my calendar and look at the attendees, it shows everyone as "Maybe" and only shows me as "Yes."

I contacted Verizon tech support who were not able to figure it out and then I contacted HTC tech support. All have been extremely helpful, but they can't figure it out either. They have escalated my request and someone will call me back.

In the meantime, I thought I'd ask here if anyone else has had these issues.

I use exchange, pop accounts and then I have a gmail account, but don't really use it. I need these invites primarily sent using my exchange account, but it would be nice to also send using one of my pop accounts. However, in the list of calendars available to send meeting requests from, only my exchange and gmail accounts show up...but that's another issue.
