Memory Issues and "com.google" process messages

I have read the related threads and tried various solutions to no avail.

I have a Samsung Stratosphere. I've had the "low memory" errror in the past, but to be honest - I don't really understand what it meant. I would just dump my contacts and clear caches and be fine.

Yesterday, it popped up again as well as an ongoing series of error messages about "com.google.process" and framework issues. ??? I read up on that and deleted all but one gmail account. But I don't really understand what happened.

Here is where I stand.

Still getting error message about memory full.
Apps that I move to the card are now back in the phone.
Some apps that I deleted are showing up as "com.whatever" file in the applications. So I have to delete that to completely remove the app.

I can't resolve the memory issue with the old tricks. Help?

Are the two issues related?

I'm also recovering from a concussion so its hard for me to concentrate. Please bear with me. I'm really lost without my phone - I use it to remember meds, appts etc.

Sounds like something has gotten seriously messed up - if you have your contacts and calendar entries backed up (say to your Google account), you might want to consider a factory reset.

If you don't want to do that, then the low memory message often means you have too many apps installed in the phone memory.

You should move all the apps you can to SD storage and remove any apps that you don't use anymore.

Hope your concussion improves soon.

If you're rooted you can go into your custom recovery and fix permissions, that usually helps clear up any force closes. Good luck, OB
